Healthcare Robotics & Automation Engineering

Improve one hospital workflow, supply route or handoff.

Scroll

You do not need a robot specification or finished design to begin.

Bring us a repetitive hospital workflow, an equipment integration problem or an early automation idea. Start with Nestack to assess the options and define a practical engineering project. Explore a focused prototype, an integration or dedicated engineering support around the work your team needs to improve.

Who we work with

What are you working on?

Start with the work around care: a supply route, a handoff, an equipment interface or a loading step. Surgery, diagnosis, patient lifting and medical-device development need separate qualified scope.

Discuss a project for hospital operations and facilities

Measure the change that matters

Where do repeated trips add up? Which handoffs get missed? Who handles each step today?

A useful project starts with a baseline. Agree which measures matter to your service, then evaluate the proposed change under stated conditions.

Task time
Volumes, urgency, travel and handling time for the task as it runs today.
Staff involvement
The people who request, load, receive, clean and recover the service.
Missed handoffs
Missed notifications and handoffs between the teams who request and receive.
Repeatability and support effort
Assistance, recovery and routine support across an agreed test window.

Agree targets with your team; no universal savings or reliability threshold is assumed.

Illustrative scopes

Four useful projects to discuss

These are illustrative project scopes, not completed Nestack healthcare case studies. Each begins with feasibility and confirmed engineering fit.

A of D
Illustrative scope

Assess a clean-supply delivery route

Your challenge
Staff make repeated trips between stores and a service area.
Possible scope
Map one payload and route, including loading, receiving and exceptions; compare improved manual work with existing transport products.
You receive
Baseline, route constraints, options, cost assumptions and pilot plan.
Acceptance
The operations team can review the assumptions and decide whether to proceed, revise or stop.

Feasibility

Choose the right next step before building

A Workflow & Robotics Feasibility Assessment turns an operating problem into a reviewable engineering decision. It starts with the people who request, load, receive, clean and recover the service, and can recommend a prototype, an existing supplier, a smaller change or no further robotics work.

01
Improve the workflow
Could a layout, scheduling or handoff change solve the problem?
02
Buy existing equipment
Does a supported product meet the task, environment and service needs?
03
Adapt or integrate
Can authorised interfaces or a small modification bridge the gap?
04
Build a defined subsystem
Is there a justified need for custom engineering and a viable support path?

Plan around the people and systems using it

Clear responsibilities and practical records help your team evaluate the work and manage the next stage.

  • Fit the environment

Define routes, users, loads, access, cleaning and recovery with the people who operate the service. Address doors, lifts, shared spaces and emergency routes before site use. Sensitive payloads need their own handling requirements.

  • Keep engineering evidence visible

Review requirements, design decisions, configuration, test results and open issues at agreed milestones. Record changes and assess their impact so the evidence remains connected to the system delivered.

  • Use only the data the task needs

Agree data flows, access, retention, remote support and software-update responsibilities. Cameras, maps and logs are considered alongside any hospital-system interface. Use synthetic or appropriately authorised test data, and define how security issues will be reported and handled.

  • Protect the work and define ownership

Agree confidentiality and approved exchange channels. The contract distinguishes your inputs, newly created deliverables, background technology and third-party components. The handoff states which files and rights are included.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Showing 8 of 8 questions

  1. Yes. Describe what happens today, who is involved and where the difficulty occurs. A first discussion can establish engineering fit and whether an assessment is useful. Detailed drawings, a selected robot, a fixed budget and a completed specification are not required for the initial enquiry.
